3 Drekker Broken Rudder Drekker Brewing USA Irish Ale 5.0% 25
Nestled in the quiet groves along the Red River lies the legendary Hjemkomst Viking Ship. Dreamed up by Robert Asp and built by his hand, this beauty was sailed from Duluth, MN all the way to Norway, the homeland. While crossing the Atlantic, the crew encountered a violent storm that nearly forced them to turn back. A rogue wave smashed into the ship, tearing the rudder off and plunging the boat into almost certain peril. With their experienced skipper at the helm, they fought onward and completed their voyage. Their story of determination and perseverance has been an inspiration to many, and gives this wonderfully balanced Irish Red Ale its name. Golden red in color, Broken Rudder Irish Red Ale has a smooth caramel flavor with lightly toasted malt notes. Over fifteen pounds of honey per batch are added to give this crowd favorite just a hint of sweetness and a crisp, clean and dry finish.

5 Shiner Dunkelweizen (Winter Ale) Spoetzl Brewery USA Dunkelweizen 5.3% --
Shiner Dunkelweizen is a crisp, hearty brew modeled after a Bavarian-style dunkelweizen, German for dark wheat. Shiner Dunkelweizen is fermented with an old-world technique called Kräusening, brewed to be smooth and rich without being heavy on the palate. Its subtle flavors come from the brew’s malted wheat and malted barley. This beer uses the old Czech mashing technique of taking small portions of the mash and boiling, then mixing it back in the main mash. This technique, called ‘decotion’, takes a great deal more time... but develops the rich dark color and creates the body which is enjoyed in the finished beer.
6 Märzen Hofbräuhaus Pittsburgh USA Oktoberfest/Märzen 5.8% --
Märzen is our "March" beer. It symbolizes the beginning of Spring. This is an amber colored beer with a rich malty character. There is a hint of hops but the overall profile is smooth and very drinkable.

8 Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock Brauerei Aying DEU Doppelbock 6.7% 24
Bottle: Filtered Ingredients: Water, barley malt, hops, yeast. Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year’s aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.
9 Lakefront Riverwest Stein Lakefront Brewery USA American Dark Lager 5.6% 16
The rich amber color and caramel flavor of this beer are derived from the generous amount of caramel malt in our recipe, with just a dash of roasted unmalted barley for a subtle toasted flavor in the background. The sweetness, body, and mouth feel tell you that this is an all-malt beer. The finish has a balanced edge of Willamen and Casade hoppiness which cuts through the malty character, leaving a clean palate which beckons for more. Note: the terminology of "stein" refers to the appropriate drinking vessel and not to a type of beer made with hot rocks.

26 Magners Pear Bulmers Ireland IRL Perry 4.5% --
We all need a bit of variety and that’s why we came up with the idea for Magner’s Pear. Of course, we like to do things properly and don’t mind taking our time about it, so unlike some Pear cider, the only fruit that goes into ours is pears. And of course, you’ll only find 100% premium quality pears in Magners Pear, which we filter to get rid of any impurities before fermenting slowly. That’s what makes Magners Pear so fresh, fruity and full of flavor. So next time you’re out and wanting a bit of a change, pour a Magners Pear, sit back and enjoy.
27 Bird Dog Hunters Amber Bird Dog Brewing USA Amber Ale 6.0% 40
This one was People’s Choice at the Muddy River Mashers Oktoberfest in 2010. It is on the dark side of amber -- almost red. It has a great combination of bready, malt and citrus/spicy hop aroma. The caramel and toffee notes really are showcased in this beer as the the crystal malts shine as I think they should in an amber. This is a mildly hoppy beer. Again, citrus and spicy notes come through in the flavor as well. It is a great combination of English and American ingredients for a well-rounded, smooth beer.

Deep copper in color with an off white head. The aroma is a combination of fruity esters from the yeast complimented by the citrusy notes of coriander, orange, and lemon peel. This beer is deceptively lighter bodied, with a lively carbonation and subtle warmth from the moderate alcohol. Fruity notes from the yeast carry over into the flavor profile with hints of citrus and light chocolate and a lasting dry finish.
33 Laughing Sun Sinister Pear Laughing Sun Brewing USA Belgian Strong Ale 8.5% 30
Our Belgian Golden Strong Ale takes it name from the light pear flavors imparted by the Belgian yeast esters and the sinister nature of these styles of ales. Easy drinking from the Pilsener malt profile, this refreshing ale packs a punch with the additions of raw sugar to the boil kettle. A light hop flavor balances the alcohol, and melds perfectly with the pear flavors.
