Flying Dog Bloodline Blood Orange IPA Flying Dog Brewery Frederick, MD India Pale Ale (IPA) 7.0% 89
Brewed exclusively for the 2013 Craft Brewers Conference (and a collaborative project with Reyes Beverage Group), Bloodline is an intensely-hopped IPA brewed with Blood Orange peel and juice. According to our Brewmaster Matt Brophy, the result is a flavor profile that harnessed the best aspects of both the hops (Warrior, Citra, and Galaxy) and the citrus. He and his brewing team are very fond of hop-based citrus aromas, so experimenting with actual citrus was a natural extension of that.2014 version is brewed with Northern Brewer, Citra and Galaxy.[2014 version is not a new entry as it is a minor recipe tweak and is not marketed as a different beer. Normal beer drinkers will not know the difference. -GT2]
Goose Island Next Coast IPA Goose Island Beer Chicago, IL India Pale Ale (IPA) 7.0% --
It’s 7%, but totally crushable — it’s not quite like any other IPA you’ve had. Big, bracing, piney hop flavors meet a tropical bouquet of Nugget, Citra, and Mosaic hops. There’s a balanced bitterness that blends seamlessly into the light to medium body. Sip it or rip it. We're not your mom.

Neshaminy Creek Dank Hill DIPA Neshaminy Creek Brewing Croydon, PA Imperial/Double IPA 9.0% 91
Brewed with propane and propane accessories. From the lukewarm headwaters of the mighty Neshaminy Creek. Just before the first can release of A Good Problem to Have DIPA this past December we released a small batch wheat double IPA by the name of Dank Hill available only in the brewery Tap Room. Fermented with the highly touted Vermont or ‘Conan’ ale yeast strain now made famous by…..well, you know who, Dank Hill was, appropriately, dank, and very tropical with notes of peaches, grapefruit, and mango. Constructed entirely differently than all our other IPAs; not so big on the early kettle/bittering hops and a lot more focus on the late kette/whirlpool and dry hops, we hopped this beer into oblivion with Chinook, Simcoe, Equinox, and Citra to the tune of twice as much hop per barrel as A Good Problem to Have and nearly three times more than The Shape of Hops to Come. The whirlpool and dry hop alone are more than the total hop bill used in our flagship County Line IPA.

Roy Pitz Daddy Fat Sacks IPA Roy Pitz Brewing Chambersburg, PA India Pale Ale (IPA) 6.0% 44
The one and only IPA that doesn’t leave your pallet with a bitter after taste. This beer took years of practice to get down and when we finally got it right, we knew it. The beer is made with three malts in considerable additions that leave it with a more malty and sweet taste. There are five different hop additions that were carefully planed out to impart just enough bitterness to give it the body and depth that it needed without leaving you with the astringent and bitter aftertaste. We then added a plethora of English flavor and aroma hops that round out the floral and citrus esters. With the beer being so well balanced between bitter and sweet, we than added big sacks of bittering hops to the conditioning vessel to impart all the wonderful citrus and floral notes deep into the beer while leaving the bittering aspects of the hop behind. The result was a beer that makes you want to nose dive right in complimented by the well balanced taste of this wonderful brew.

Samuel Adams Summer Ale Boston Beer Boston, MA Wheat Ale 5.3% 29
Samuel Adams® Summer Ale is an American wheat ale. This summer seasonal uses malted wheat, lemon zest and Grains of Paradise, a rare pepper from Africa first used as a brewing spice in the 13th century, to create a crisp taste, spicy flavor and medium body. The ale fermentation imparts a background tropical fruit note reminiscent of mangos and peaches. All of these flavors come together to create a thirst quenching, clean finishing beer perfect for those warm summer days.

Southern Tier 3 Citrus Peel Out Southern Tier Brewing Lakewood, NY Fruit Beer 8.5% 86
This high-gravity Wheat Ale is brewed with blood orange juice, grapefruit & tangerine peels. This special ale is brewed with 35% Wheat & 3 types of hops. We made this one obviously refreshing. It features Tropical citrus and grapefruit aromas from Mosaic hops along with the addition of over 4 & a half pounds per barrel of grapefruit & tangerine peels. And to get extra juicy, we ferment with blood orange juice concentrate. Not overly bitter, this brew sits around 30 IBU and its nice citrus pith rounds out the bitterness. Residual sweetness helps accentuate the fruity character and masks the 8.5% ABV well. Enjoy straight up or served on the rocks with soda & wedge of fresh fruit. We’ve loved it with simple syrup & a shot of our favorite spirit.
